PramDepot is closing
We are no longer taking donations or referrals.
After a lot of careful thought and discussion, we have come to the difficult decision to close PramDepot down in early 2027. A number of factors have come into this, including increasing running costs, fundraising challenges, lack of support for the voluntary sector in Haringey, and the upcoming retirement of our founder, Karen.
When Karen set this organisation up over twelve years ago, PramDepot was one of only a handful of baby banks. There are now hundreds across the UK, a testament to both the huge failings of the British government and the caring spirit and solidarity of ordinary people.
We are hopeful that the gap we are leaving will be filled by others in time and we are working to put together resources passing on everything we have learnt in the over the last twelve years.
We will continue taking donations of baby items throughout September, with our final donation day taking place on Tuesday 29th September.
A huge thank you to the many, many people who have supported our work over the years. We could not have done this without you!
