PramDepot Shop

Our shop provides an easy way for you to directly support vulnerable women and their newborn babies by purchasing items for them.

Most of the items in our Emergency Baby Boxes are pre-loved items, donated by our wonderful community of supporters. However, some of the items need to be bought new for hygiene reasons or to guarantee a consistent supply. By purchasing items for a woman and her newborn baby through our shop you can help us make sure we always have enough items for each Baby Box.

All items are purchased new. Please note that while we always try to spend donated funds on the items you select, we cannot guarantee this, due to the unpredictable nature of donations and procurement process. At times we may need to reallocate donations to purchase other items for the Emergency Baby Box Scheme.

The story behind our Emergency Baby Box Scheme

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, we had to completely change the way we support women in our community. We previously visited mum and baby groups to pass on donations of baby items and buggies to vulnerable pregnant women and new mums who didn’t have everything they needed for their baby. Suddenly all the groups had to shut down and we had to find another way to make sure the pregnant women and new mums we support weren’t left without necessities for them and their babies.

With support from a couple of baby box suppliers, we came up with the Emergency Baby Box Scheme: a way for each woman we support to receive everything she will need in one contactless delivery. At PramDepot, we pack up a box with everything a mum needs for the first three months of her baby’s life, including nappies, wipes, cream, soap, maternity and breast pads, a mattress, sheets, blankets, muslins, sling and breast pump, steriliser and recycled baby clothes and equipment, as well as toiletries for mum. Once everything is unpacked, mum can use the box along with the mattress and sheets provided to give her baby somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep.

Now, over a year on from the onset of the pandemic, we are still supporting mums through our Emergency Baby Box Scheme. Mums tell us that this way of working – delivering everything they need in one go – is a great way of meeting their needs, so we want to continue doing this!

“I’m very pleased of what are the things me and my coming baby have inside this marvellous baby box… Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. This helps me a lot… God bless your organisation.”

While the Emergency Baby Box Scheme is the best way to support the women who need our help, it increases our costs significantly due to the delivery cost as well as the cost of ensuring we have a constant supply of items. We’re committed to raising these funds in order to provide the best possible service to the women we support. You can help us do this by purchasing items for the Baby Boxes through our shop!
